Now, before I start this thing, I would like it to be known that this is an open platform and whatever bullshit I put up here should not at any time be construed as bias, tribalism, racism or any other ‘ism’. So before you ‘flag this blog’, remember it’s not anything to be taken seriously.
I am jazzed at the Luos take on the pending Barak Obama presidency. Now, don’t get me wrong, the man should win, unless McCain is taking lessons from Kivuitu & Co. The Kenyan Luo chapter is in cloud nine over the idea that the USA stands the chance to have one of their own at the helm. Fine and good, but…
- Have these people realised that Obama does not know they exist?
- Do they think coz they’ve been politically shagged in Kenya by successive gavas (Kenyatta did it, Moi did it, Kibaki is doing it, kwanza liiiiiiiive in your face bitch), they deserve to feel like they ‘own’ a country (never mind that is 3000+ miles away and full of white people)?
- Do they think that Obama’s presidency means instant prosperity for the Luo tribe? That everyone will have a Hummer and a house on the hill?
Simple observations these ones, but they display the underlying desperation that Kenyans suffer from when it comes to politics. Our own leaders suck so much that we are celebrating the victory of some guy to quell the intrinsic riot that is roils in our deepest of hearts thanks to the bullshit political leadership we have. Raila has failed his people, no question there, so they seek fulfillment in B.H. Obama, Democrat, USA.
Sad shit.
