A lit light bulb is the indicator of a bright thought,
Therefore we should all walk around,
With glowing orbs hovering above our heads,
Not like haloes, we’re not angels,
Feeding the puckered mouth with dry bagels,
Or punctiliously making our beds,
Or tinting the tips of our dreads,
Drinking cans of Redds,
Or with garlic protecting our houses’ gables.
Enrich your life with folklore,
About the beauty, diversity and joy,
It’s all whitewash, a great ploy,
Life’s a cheap whore, depraved, always wants more,
Filling your head up with giddiness,
Lost in your chants of ‘God bless’,
And most will think you’re such a bore.
We should all realise, the sooner the better,
That the life we live should be unfettered,
Cast aside the blinkers, the tunnel vision,
For our existence see the real reason,
Embrace the hedonist, for he sees the prison,
That the closeted mind will never escape,
He runs free, while the fettered forever stare, their jaws agape.
